Marcellinus Anyanwu Joins NFF Presidential Race, Reveals Plans For Nigerian Football

Widely-travelled football coach, Grassroots advocate and YSFON ambassador, Marcellinus Anyanwu has expressed his interest in contesting for the position of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Sportivation.com.ng reports.
The former Arsenal Soccer School coach is highly sought-after in Dubai due to his contributions to the development of football in the country.
He has also contributed immensely to the development of football in Nigeria by giving footballers the opportunity to get scholarship to further their career, education.
Anyanwu has revealed his plans for Nigerian football if elected as the president of the football governing body in Nigeria.
“I will provide an avenue for the development of Nigerian football and deepen the Nigerian football structure for a strong representation at national, continental and global competitions and definitely build a better future for grassroots football in Nigeria and create a pathway for the upcoming stars”.
“Establishing a Formidable structure towards a sustainable and successful football development in Nigeria building a strong pillar of football Administration that will promote, develop and offer accessible base for all within a framework of sound and ethical practice”.
“I will also build an inclusive football structure in Nigeria leveraging on our diversity, I will reform Nigeria football and get in government to build infrastructures. Collaborate with National Assembly to enact a law and pass a bill to this effect once there is infrastructure on ground and sports facilities multi national companies and Public liability companies like Nigeria brewery, NNPC, MTN, Etisalat, Banks, Coca-cola, Auto mobile and Real Estate state companies, to sponsor and support our domestic leagues. From Amateur league to NPFL”.
“We will reform the football and get in government to build infrastructures we will lobby the national Assembly to enact a law to this effect”.
“There should be a sports department for all the big companies registered with Nigeria cooperate affairs commissions that will employ footballers place them on monthly salary and they will participate in companies league we will introduce, we will industrialized football and used it to empower the Youths”.
Anyanwu has also promised to improve the welfare of Nigerian footballers playing in the Super Eagles, Super Falcons and in the NPFL, NWFL and other leagues.
Marcellinus Anyanwu is a passionate coach, who has paid his dues in the game.
He started out as an assistant coach at MFM FC under the tutelage of Nduka Ugbade.
Like a Gold fish which can not be hidden, Anyanwu moved to UAE in 2013, where he has been highly sought after for his enviable record of developing footballers.
