Oshoala, Mane Win 2022 CAF Awards

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has been named 2022 CAF Women’s Player of the year beating off competition from Zambia’s Grace Chanda and Ajara Nchout Njoya of Cameroon to win the award for a record fifth time, Sportivation.com.ng reports.
The Barcelona striker won the award in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and retained it this year following her impressive performances for Barcelona Femeni.
She won the top scorer award in the Primera Iberdrola scoring 20 goals in 19 appearances despite missing two months of action due to injury.
Bayern Munich new signing Sadio Mane retained the men’s following a stellar season with club and country winning the AFCON trophy, leading the Teranga Lions to the 2022 FIFA World Cup coupled with winning the League Cup and FA Cup trophies with Liverpool.
Senegal won the National Team of the year award for men, Wydad AC was named the men’s club of the year.
