Bayern Munich came from behind to tie 2-2 with VfB Stuttgart on Sunday before accepting the Bundesliga title trophy.

However, the visitors might see a turning point in the struggle for top-flight survival.

Konstantinos Mavropanos of VfB Stuttgart was unable to stop Serge Gnabry’s attempt on the line.

Thomas Müller then canceled out Tiago Tomas’ early goal to put Bayern Munich ahead at the half.

But, just after Müller hit the post for the second time in the game, Sasa Kalajdzic towered to head in an equalizer.

He even blew a golden opportunity to secure a critical three points when Manuel Neuer saved his feeble attempt.

Bayern Munich won their tenth consecutive Bundesliga title with a home victory over Borussia Dortmund last month, but they have been sloppy since losing at Mainz last week.

The fact that the players headed directly to Ibiza on their days off at the start of the week also raised some concerns.

Late in the game, Robert Lewandowski’s strike was deflected onto the crossbar.

But Bayern Munich couldn’t find a winner and had Kingsley Coman sent off deep into additional time for a furious response to Mavropanos’ challenge.

When captain Neuer was presented with the trophy, the first in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s tenure, they were still in party mode, albeit slightly muted.

It was presented by the league’s president.

“Shortly after a game, when you’ve not won, it is not so nice,” admitted Nagelsmann.

It is the first time since 2019 that Bayern Munich were able to celebrate the title with their fans because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Even when there are many here who know the ceremonies, it is simply always beautiful,” said Müller. “We wanted to win, were eager, but we have also made mistakes.”
