Nigerian winger Moses Simon has won the Nantes Player of the month award for April.

This follows a string of outstanding performances for the Canaries over the last month.

The diminutive player beat teammates Kalifa Coulibaly, Wylan Cyprien and Quentin Merlin to the award. Merlin had won the award back-to-back in February and March.

The Nigeria international got a total of 59.51 percent of the total votes cast to emerge a winner.

Simon was impressive in the month of April as he scored three goals before providing an assist in five league outings. This makes it the second time he would win the award this season.

He was also voted Nantes best player in September 2021 for his brilliant contributions to the team’s overall play.

His displays were also recognized at the league level as he was named in the Ligue 1 Team of The Week for matchday 35 after he scored twice in his team’s 2-2 draw against 10-man Lens on Sunday.

The Nigerian player has been exceptional this season with Nantes and is rated highly among the fans. He has six league goals to his name this campaign and has already provided eight assists for his teammates.
