Nigeria’s U20 male national football team, the Flying Eagles spanked local outfit Olympic Niamey 4-0 in a friendly encounter at the Stade Municipal on Wednesday night.
Muhammed Aminu and Ibrahim Yahaya, both players of Gombe United, scored the opening two goals for the Nigerian side.
Ahmed Abdullahi netted the third goal before Muhammed Beji completed the thrashing by scoring the fourth goal.
The Nigerians had defeated Niger Republic 1-0 in a warm-up match in Niamey on Monday. The two sides had played out a goalless draw in their first game at the same venue last Friday.
Nigeria are currently preparing for the upcoming WAFU B U-20 qualifiers which will start in Niger on 7 May and the friendly games are a proper way to get the team prepared ahead of the tourney.
Ladan Bosso’s boys will commence their qualifying campaign on 8 May when they take on defending champions, the Black Starlets of Ghana.
Nigeria will also face Burkina Faso in Group B.
