Ahead of the Champions League Semi-Final second leg game between RealMadrid and Man City, Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of the recent La Liga Champions has given his verdict on what will be the outcome of the game between the two giants.
He envisaged a difficult encounter when his club faced Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti also voiced faith in midfielder Casemiro’s ability to assist Real Madrid against Manchester City, stating that his return to the squad will boost his team defensively.
This was said by the Italian at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
Ancelotti’s players go to the game after falling 4-3 to Pep Guardiola’s team in the first leg at the Etihad Stadium last week.
Ancelotti said, “He [Casemiro] will help us out and his return strengthens us defensively.”
He added, “I don’t think that history has any part to play. It will be a very different game and every game is unique.
“They [Man City] have an advantage and we have to put in a better performance. It will be very tough, but we have got an incredible opportunity to reach another final.”
