NPFL: Adewale Lasisi Resumes Dakkada Training

Dakkada midfielder Adewale Lasisi has returned to training after missing the team’s last two matches after sustaining a shoulder injury against Remo Stars last month, reports.

He subsequently missed the games against Nasarawa United and Plateau United, however, he has resumed individual training.

The skillful midfielder expressed his delight after the frustration of missing out of action for the Uyo-based club.

“I am excited to be back in training even though I have not been able to partake in group training, but I believe I’m getting closer and I can’t wait to return to the pitch to contribute my quota to the team’.

“It has been frustrating to miss the last two games, as a footballer you want to be available for your team always”, he told Sportivation Media.

Adewale showered encomiums on his teammates for recording a brilliant win against Plateau United on Saturday.

“It was a huge win against a team aiming to win the NPFL title, my teammates gave their all and earned the maximum points which is very important for us.

Emmanuel Charles scored the only goal just after the hour mark to hand Dakkada the maximum points against second-placed Plateau United.

Dakkada will be back in NPFL action when they travel to Kaduna to take on Wikki Tourists, they are currently 15th on the log with 30 points from 26 games.

Adewale Lasisi is expected to be back in action against Abia Warriors on May 15, he has played 23 matches in the 2021/2022 NPFL season.
