Iheanacho On Target For Leicester City

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored a long-range effort in Leicester City’s 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

Iheanacho was in action for the entire 90 minutes as he hit the target late in the encounter.

The former Manchester City man powered his shot past Spurs French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and in off the near post, to give his side what was only a mere consolation following Harry Kane’s headed goal and Son Heung-min’s brace.

In the 22nd minute of the game, England striker Kane put Spurs in front following a good cross into the box from a corner kick taken by Son.

Substitute Dejan Kulusevski beautifully assisted Son for the second goal at the hour mark.

The Korean then scored a fantastic curled effort from a distance that was buried in the top right corner.

Iheanacho has now found the back of the net four times in 24 outings for Leicester City this campaign.

Iheanacho’s compatriot Ademola Lookman was an unused substitute in the game.

The Foxes will now focus their attention on the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal fixture against Italian outfit AS Roma. The first leg ended 1-1.
