WAFCON 2022: Super Falcons to battle South Africa in Group C

Babalola Seyi
Nigeria’s Super Falcons will compete in Group C of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against rivals South Africa, Burundi, and Botswana.
On Friday night, the draw ceremony took place in Rabat, Morocco.
The Super Falcons are heavy favorites to win the group, with only South Africa standing in their way.
Randy Waldrum’s team won the last edition of the competition four years ago in Ghana, defeating the Bayana Bayana 4-3 on penalties.
South Africa, on the other hand, defeated the Super Falcons 4-2 in their most recent meeting at the Aisha Buhari Invitational tournament in Lagos.
Nigeria will compete in Morocco for a record-extending tenth WAFCON title.
