Super Falcons and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala will be aiming to score her second Champions League goal of the season for her club when Barcelona Femini travel to Wolfsburg on Saturday for the second leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League match on Saturday.

Oshoala returned from a two-month injury layoff to play 17 minutes in Barcelona’s 5-1 thrashing of Germany last Friday. She replaced Jennifer Hermoso in the 73rd minute of the victory.

The champions will be hoping to complete their semi-final game in Germany, and Oshoala, whose only goal in the competition came in a 4-1 win over her former team Arsenal on October 5, has only made four appearances this season.

She’ll be hoping to make her fifth appearance in the competition by returning to the starting lineup.

Despite only scoring one goal, the Nigeria international has 12 shots and two assists in the games she has played in the competition.

Oshoala’s season has been blighted by recurring injuries.

She sustained her most recent injury while training with Nigeria in preparation for the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying play-off against Ivory Coast, and it sidelined her for 10 weeks.
