NPFL: Remo Stars, Katsina United Win Big On Matchday 24

Ogun state-based club Remo Stars comprehensively defeated Dakkada FC 4-1 in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 24 encounter on Wednesday, Sportivation.com.ng reports. 

Tolulope Ojo opened the scoring in Ikenne in the 33rd minute before Dan Etido equalised for Dakkada six minutes later. However, just four minutes after the restart, Qudus Akanni netted for the home side before further goals from Andy Okpe and Sikiru Alimi  ensured Remo Stars claimed all three points.

At the Ilorin Township Stadium, Ilorin, Kwara United were able to grind out a 1-1 draw against Abia Warriors.

The opening goal was scored deep into the added time of the first half when Samuel Tiza’s strike beat the goalkeeper.

However, Valentine Odoh equalised for the away team in the 55th minute as both sides shared the spoils.

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes beat former league champions Rangers International FC 2-1 courtesy of goals from Segun Alebiosu and Musa Wakili.

Meanwhile, the Flying Antelopes got their only goal of the game through Kenechukwu Agwu.

At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United were 3-1 victors over Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.

Madaki Alkali Dauda scored twice before Aliyu Musa added another for the hosts in injury time.

Elum Sochima had earlier equalised for the Ibadan-based outfit to make it 1-1 in the 53rd minute.

Elsewhere, Lobi Stars of Makurdi boosted their survival chances following their 2-1 win against Gombe United.

Endurance Ebedebiri and Chinonso Okonkwo registered their names on the scoresheet for Lobi, while Almeen Almeen netted the consolation goal for the away side.
