The League Management Company (LMC) has hit hard on Kano Pillars after their home fans disrupted the Matchday 23 fixtures of the Nigerian Professional Football League at the Sanni Abacha Stadium played against Katsina United.
In the 81st minutes of the match, Kano Pillars fans encroached unto the field of play and stopped the game which was still goalless at the time, they also destroyed Katsina United team bus outside the stadium forcing the game to end abruptly as the visiting side scampered for safety.
The LMC in a verdict released on Sunday, fined Kano Pillars 9million naira for breach of rules, banished the club to the MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja, deducted three points from them and a further suspended three points if such violence happens again in their future home games.
The LMC has also banned the Sanni Abacha stadium Kano from hosting NPFL games forthwith and they have been asked to repair/replace damaged katsina United FC team bus while ordering that the remaining 9 minutes of the game to be played at the MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja.
Kano Pillars who are currently 13th position on the League table with 27 points have not played at their home, the Sanni Abacha Stadium for almost two years owing to crowd troubles.
