Festival Of Draws In NPFL, Shooting Brush Aside Lobi Stars

Shooting Stars recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over Lobi Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium, in Ibadan on Saturday evening to boost their survival hopes, Sportivation.com.ng reports.

Emmanuel Lucky scored a brace for the Oluyole Warriors before Ayo Adejubu added the other goals to seal the maximum points.

Nasarawa United played out a 1-1 draw with Remo Stars in Lafia, the visitors took the lead four minutes after the restart, and King Osanga snatched a point for the Solid Miners in the 54th minute.

Defending Champions Akwa United and Gombe United battled to a 1-1 draw at the Pantami Stadium, Adam Yakubu opened the scoring for the visitors before Abdulazeez Yusuf restored parity for the hosts.

It was a festival of draws in the NPFL on matchday 23 as the match between Wikki Tourists and Kwara United also finished 1-1, Abubakar Aliyu was on target for Wikki Tourists, while Abdulsalam Abdulsalam scored Kwara United’s goal.

Rangers and Sunshine Stars shared the spoils in Enugu as they played out a goalless draw.

Dakkada earned a 2-1 win over struggling Heartland, Kano Pillars, and Katsina United played out a 0-0 draw.

Abia Warriors and Niger Tornadoes also followed suit with a 1-1 draw.

Plateau United will slug it out with MFM on Sunday, while Rivers United welcome Enyimba for a chance to extend their lead on the log.
