Barcelona midfielder Pedri suffered a hamstring injury in his team’s Europa League quarter-final loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, Sportivation.com.ng reports.
After picking up a knock, Pedri was pulled out at halftime and replaced by Frenkie de Jong.
According to a statement on the club’s website, it was revealed that Pedri has a femoral biceps rupture in his left hamstring.
“Tests on Friday morning have revealed that Pedri has ruptured the femoral biceps in his left hamstring,” Barca said.
“It means he will be unavailable for selection until he recovers from the injury.”
Pedri has been a shining light for Barcelona this season with a series of impressive performances for the club, his absence is a major blow for the club after the loss to Frankfurt.
