Adrian Durham, a football pundit, has lambasted Diego Simeone, over their recent champions league exit, accusing the Atletico Madrid manager and his players of putting opponents in peril with ‘disgraceful’ methods.
Durham chastised the Argentine coach following Atletico Madrid’s Champions League loss to Manchester City on Wednesday.
The game devolved into complete anarchy, with fights involving players from both sides both on and off the field.
Simeone’s Atletico Madrid was defeated 1-0 on aggregate by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who advanced to the competition’s semi-finals this season.
Felipe was ruled to have kicked out at Manchester City’s Phil Foden at the end of the game, while Stefan Savic also attempted to remove the England man off the field.
After headbutting Raheem Sterling, Savic also had Jack Grealish’s hair pulled.
Felipe was sent off after collecting a second yellow card, which elicited an angry reaction from manager Simeone on the touchline, and sparks flew throughout the ten minutes of stoppage time.
After the final whistle, Savic and Grealish battled again in the tunnel, while Sime Vrsaljko appeared set on attacking the entire City squad.
