Australian Open: Nadal Beats Berrettini To Book Final Place

Rafa Nadal has reached his 6th Australian Open Final after defeating Matteo Berrettini on Rod Laver Arena, Sportivatiion.com.ng reports.
Nadal who became the bookies favorite after defending champion, Djokovic was denied entry into the country outclass the Italian to set up a final with Daniel Medvedev.
Nadal, who is eyeing a historic major title can move beyond rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic with a 21st singles Slam in Melbourne on Sunday.

It is an incredible feat because months ago the 35-year-old did not even know if he would be in Australia to participate after struggling with injuries over a sustained period ahead of the tournament. Now he has reached his sixth final at Melbourne Park.
The latest win means the 35-year-old is now the 4th oldest player in the Open Era to reach a Grand Slam Final.
He now stands a chance of winning his second Australian Open after winning it last in 2009 with only Daniel Medvedev standing on his path to glory.
