The Super Eagles of Nigeria recorded a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau to maintain their 100 percent start to the competition courtesy of goals from Sadiq Umar and William Troost-Ekong.

After opening day win over Egypt and a dominant win against Sudan, Augustine Eguavoen made eight changes to the team in a bid to give other fringe players the opportunity to play.

Sadiq Umar led the line, Chidera Ejuke, Tyrone Ebuehi, Jamilu Collins all started.

The first half ended goalless but the introduction of Moses Simon turned things around for the Super Eagles.

Sadiq Umar scored the first goal following a pass from Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Nantes forward continued from where he stopped with his direct running and skills to beat to two Guinea-Bissau defenders before his effort hit the cross bar, William Troost-Ekong scored the tap in to increase the lead.

The Super Eagles finished top of Group D with nine points while Egypt came second with six points.

The Pharaohs recorded a 1-0 win over Sudan in the last group match.
