English forward, Harry Kane has committed his future to Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane had earlier in May told Spurs he would be leaving the club this summer, with several reports linking him to the defending champions of the Premier League, Manchester City.

The 28-year-old striker had been staying at the training ground hotel since returning to the United Kingdom from his post-Euro 2020 holiday, after missing out on the trophy, with Italy coming out victorious in a 3-2 win via penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes of action.

He was initially expected to return to the training ground for tests on August 2, but arrived five days later after missing a couple of training sessions.

Two official bids of €122m and €150m from Manchester City for the striker were rejected by the Chairman of the club, Daniel Levy who has insisted that Kane is not for sale.

Meanwhile, the England captain has confirmed that he will be staying at the club this season.

“It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.

“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success,” he wrote on his social media account.

Having confirmed his stay at the club, Pep Guardiola will have to look elsewhere for the pursuit of a striker.

Tottenham Hotspur have amassed 6 points in two Premier League games without Harry Kane, after a 1-0 slim victory over Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo will have the opportunity to bolster his squad with the prolific forward later this weekend when they host Watford at home.
