Nigeria’s Basketball team, D’Tigers suffered a second consecutive loss at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after losing narrowly to Germany 92-99 on Wednesday morning.
The team had earlier lost their first match against Australia 97-55.
The performance against Germany was an improvement on the previous one against the Aussies.
The tie was even at half time with the scores 50-50 and also third quarter ended 74-74 before the Germans took the game beyond the D’Tigers in the fourth quarter racing on to a 99-92 victory to earn their first victory of the games.
Nigeria will hope to bounce back against Italy on Saturday as their chances of progressing hangs by a thread.
