Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker scored a wonderful header to rescue all three points for his side as they came from a goal down to defeat relegation confirmed Westbrom 2-1 away at the Hawthorns on Sunday evening.

The hosts went ahead after the quarter hour mark after Matheus Pereira found Hal Robson-Kanu who calmly finished put the ball past Alisson for his first goal this season.

With so much hopes hanging on the edge for Jurgen Klopp and his boys, they searched for and got an equalizer through Mohammed Salah and it proved to be the Egyptian’s 22nd striker of the campaign levelling him with topscorer Harry Kane.

Referee Mike Dean had blown for a drop ball after he ran into Fabinho who quickly restarted play and fed Mane who opened up play and few seconds later the scores were tied.

The visitors rallied and toiled for a winner but couldn’t get one as Allardyce’s men kept themselves in the game.

The last kick of the game saw goalie Alisson Becker leave his goal to join the contestants for the corner and it was the Brazilian who headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner.

The goal makes him the first goalkeeper to score for Liverpool in the Premier League and the only goalkeeper to score a header in EPL.

Liverpool are still fifth on the log but are now a point away from 4th placed Chelsea who will be having their hands full when they welcome FA Cup Champions Leicester City to the Stamford Bridge

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has signed a new four-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2025, the Premier League team said on Friday, according to Reuters.

South Korea captain Son has bagged 107 goals and 64 assists in 280 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham since joining the north London club in 2015 from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

The 29-year-old has formed a lethal partnership with England striker Harry Kane, with the pair scoring a combined 40 goals out of the team’s total of 68 in the Premier League last season as they finished seventh.

“It’s like home, especially with the fans, the players, the staff. There was no decision. It was easy. I’m so happy to be here and will be so glad to see the fans again soon.”

Tottenham start their 2021-22 league campaign under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo on 15 August with a home game against defending champions Manchester City.
